New York City

New York City is great place when it comes to spending the weekend or a long vacation with kids. With plethora of things to do and see the city promises to be a complete package.

1. Explore the Mott and Canal Streets, the center of Chinatown. Area is filled with shops and restaurants and is a great place for kids having fun shopping for jade jewelry, Chinese embroidered clothes, toys, zodiac animals. The Grand Canyon, Arizona

Said to be the only volcano to have witnesses at its birth, it has made its place among the natural wonders of world and is a premier destination for nature lovers. The best way to experience Paricutin is by taking hikes through the sandy banks and lava fields that surround the volcano.
The 12 mile roundtrip journey can be taken as an adventurous hike or can be made easier by riding horses.

Sequoia National Park, California

The park is an unspoiled treasure of some of the most striking scenery in the world. Its home to more than 300 animal species and 1,400 plant species. The Sequoia National Park  boasts of being California’s first national park and America’s second oldest.
Besides the variety of flora and fauna the thing that makes it stand out is five large living giant sequoia trees in the world.
The area offers hiking, horseback riding, fishing and cave tours to its approximately 1 million visitors every year.

Northern Lights, Alaska & Arizona

The Northern Lights or The Aurora Borealis is best seen at northern latitudes.They are awe-inspiring twirls of light in the sky, caused by “solar wind” – electrically charged particles interacting with Earth’s magnetic field. The lights fluctuate in size, shape and color, with green being the most common color close to the horizon while purples and reds appear higher.

It’s a real treat to watch this unique event.
It can be best viewed in northern climates like Alaska but have been seen as far south as Arizona. But I strongly urge you to surf few websites for possibilities before planning for the vacation to watch it.
